1. Definitions and interpretation 

1.1. In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise required, the following expressions have the following meanings when making a booking at Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel:

Guest, refers to an individual who has made a payment to stay at the hotel.

Hotel, refers to the specific property where the booking has been made.

Residents, refers to our employees who live and work at the hotel. 

Rates, refers to the fees applicable for rooms and, where relevant, additional services offered by the hotel.

No-Show, refers to a guest failing to arrive at the hotel on the reserved check-in date without prior notice.

2. Bookings and reservations 

2.1. Guests can make the reservation in advance through Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel website, phone, upon check-in or external booking platforms. 

2.2. Guests are required to provide identification (passport or driver’s licence) and information including, but not limited to, their name, address, contact telephone number, nationality and email address. In case no authorised credit card can be presented, Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel has the right to deny entrance to the hotel. 

2.3. Your reservation shall be fully prepaid when making the booking.

2.4. Reservations booked in advance do not constitute a legally binding contract between Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel and the guest until Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel confirms the reservation with the guest and provides the guest with a booking reference. 

2.5. Reservations may be changed by the guests at any time prior to arrival (subject to the cancellation provisions set out in Clause 4 below). Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel will do their utmost to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee availability.

2.6. Reservations are not required. Guests may make bookings on arrival however Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel cannot guarantee the availability of rooms or other facilities for such bookings. 

2.7. Guests may request additional nights at Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel at any time during their stay. Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel will do their utmost to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee availability.

2.8. For reservations for groups of more than 7 rooms, special group conditions apply. Guests are required to send an email to the hotel of choice for the request of a group reservation. If separate reservations are made resulting in a group of more than 6 rooms, Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel holds the right to refuse such a group upon check-in. 

3. Fees & Payments 

3.1. Prices, including any promotions or special offers, can be found on the Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel website.

3.2. The rates shown when booking are for accommodation only, unless stated otherwise. Extra costs, such as for food and drinks, may apply and must be paid at check-in or check-out.

3.3. Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel may from time to time offer promotional rates. The following provision applies: 

  • Additional nights requested under sub-Clause 2.7 above shall be charged at the standard Rate. 

3.4. The following payment methods are accepted by Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel: 

  • Credit Cards - Visa, Mastercards, Amex

  • Debit Cards - Maestro, V Pay

  • We do not accept cash at all 

4. Cancellations 

4.1. Subject to sub-Clause 4.2 below, reservations with a flexible cancellation policy may be cancelled without charge provided if the guest notice 5 days before the day of arrival (00:00, local GMT time) of their reservation. Any sums paid in advance to Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel shall be refunded to the guest. 

4.2. Failure to provide the required notice of cancellation 5 days before the date of arrival shall result in the guest being charged for one night’s accommodation at the rate specified in their reservation. 

4.3. In case of a No Show the guest is charged for their full stay. No refund will be provided. 

4.4. In case of a No Show the following nights, if any, will be cancelled. If you are delayed, please inform us as soon as possible. We will attempt to amend your booking, subject to availability.

4.5. In exceptional cases where Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel must cancel your booking, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide a full refund. 

5. Check-in and Check-out 

5.1. Guests can check-in at Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel from 3 pm till 6 pm in our Coffee bar. After, when the coffee bar is closed, late check-ins will be taken care of by one of our Residents by ringing the emergency phone number. 

5.2. Check-out time at Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel can be done between 6am and 12pm by our staff. Between closing hours, the check-out can be done through the online check-out option provided by e-mail the day before check-out. In this case, room keys can be left in the room when departing. Failure to check-out by 12pm may result in the guest being charged for an additional late check-out fee or additional night’s accommodation at the standard applicable rate depending on the situation.

6. Hotel rules 

6.1. Guests are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner at all times when staying at Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests or employees. Any guest who, in the opinion of our staff, compromises the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local Residents will be asked to leave the hotel premises and will not be given a refund and all sums due shall become immediately payable. 

6.2. Guests shall be charged for any and all damage caused by them to Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel’s property during their stay. A minimum additional cleaning penalty of €250 will be applied in case of an extremely dirty room. 

6.3. Smoking traditional and electronic cigarettes is not permitted in any indoor area of Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel. Failure to adhere to these requirements shall result in the guest being charged for any and all costs incurred by Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel in cleaning the room (including, but not limited to, fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings), restoring it to a smoke-free environment and paying off local fire hazard penalties and costs with a minimum of €700 per case in Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel. Should the fire alarm be triggered for reasons other than smoking, fines may also be imposed. Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel is subsequently allowed to ask the guest to leave the premises immediately. A refund will not be issued then. 

6.4. The following actions are not permitted in the Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel: 

  • Animals are not allowed in the hotel or rooms, with the exception of certified service dogs.

  • Guests cannot store bicycles in the hotel or rooms

6.5. The minimum age to stay at Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel is 22 years old. Guests between the ages of 17 and 22 must provide a completed parental authorization form before check-in. Guests under the age of 17 are not allowed to stay overnight without adult supervision.

6.6. Any guest found using drugs within any of the hotels will be asked to leave the premises immediately. A refund will not be issued. 

6.7. Guest rooms must be cleaned or inspected at least once per week for stays exceeding one week.

6.8. Luggage room is available for use before check-in and after check-out on the same day. During the stay, guests are required to keep their belongings inside the room. Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel cannot be held responsible for items taken from the luggage room if guests do not adhere to this rule. 

6.9 Guests are not permitted to bring non-hotel guests into their rooms. You can meet up with non-hotel guests in our coffee bar.

7. Food and Drinks 

7.1. Unless expressly indicated otherwise, food and drinks are not included in any Rates and will be charged for in accordance with sub-Clause 3.2 above. 

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. To the fullest extent permissible by law, Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel’s liability for any loss or damage suffered by guests shall be limited to that which arises out of the negligence of Man Met Bril Koffie’s employees, subcontractors or agents. 

8.2. Notwithstanding sub-Clause 8.1 above, Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel shall not be liable for any indirect loss or damage which may be suffered by a guest including, but not limited to, loss or income, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data or loss of enjoyment. 

9. General 

Man Met Bril Koffie Hotel may, from time to time, change these Terms and Conditions without notice, however it will use its reasonable possibilities to inform guests as soon as is reasonably possible of any such changes. 

10. Data Protection

The Hotel will not share guests personal data with any third parties for any reasons without the prior consent of the guest concerned. 

11. Law and Jurisdiction 

11.1. These Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the Dutch law. 

11.2. Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between the Parties relating to these Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of The Netherlands.
