Will I get paid?

Yes, you’ll receive a market-conform salary for the duration of your residency. 

Do I need experience?

Yes, relevant experience in coffee, hospitality, or a related field is required. Our program is designed for learning, teaching, and inspiring, so experience is essential. 

What are the costs?

Besides the rent for your room, there are no extra costs to join the program. However, you will need to cover flight, food, and other personal expenses.

How long does the programme take?

The residency typically lasts for a few months, though exact durations may vary depending on your role and the program. It’s designed to give you enough time to dive deep into the coffee community, gain new experiences, and explore Rotterdam. So for example 4 months.

Can I bring my pets?

We love pets, but unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate them in the residency program. You’ll have to leave your furry friends at home for now.

Can I extend my residency?

In general, no. 

Is there a minimum age to join the programme?

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to apply for the residency. We’re looking for individuals who are ready for the challenge of working and living abroad. 

Are there any language requirements?

The primary language spoken at the Hotel is English. You’ll need to have a good command of English to communicate with guests, fellow residents, and staff. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Dutch—Rotterdam is a very international city, and you’ll have no trouble getting by! 

Will there be other residents during my stay?

Yes! You won’t be alone. There will be up to 8 other residents at the hotel at any given time, each with their own expertise in coffee, hospitality, or culinary arts.
