About the Residency Programme

Welcome to the next step in coffee culture! The Coffee Residency is a work adventure designed for passionate coffee professionals who want to exchange knowledge, grow their skills, and be part of an international coffee community. Over the course of a few months, you will not only work in various areas of the hotel but also take part in a hands-on program that covers the entire coffee journey—from sourcing to roasting to selling.

Here’s the deal

We’re offering you a job for a few months, complete with a market conform salary, a cozy room in the Residency wing of the Hotel, and all the coffee you can drink. In return, we ask that you bring your skills, your passion, and your enthusiasm to exchange knowledge.

Our goal is to create a space where knowledge, skills, and coffee culture come together. Here, you’ll develop professionally, collaborate with like-minded coffee lovers, and take part in something bigger than just a job. It’s about growing together and pushing the boundaries of coffee.

Are you ready to be part of it? Let’s go.

Working Hours

We offer a paid position for a few months, where you’ll work in different areas of the hotel. You’ll get paid for the hours you work. This will be in different areas in the hotel. You’ll be involved in:

  • Working behind the bar, making top-quality coffee.

  • Providing service on the floor, ensuring an amazing experience for guests.

  • Welcoming hotel guests and ensuring they have a great stay.

  • Assisting in the roastery.

The Programme

Beyond your paid work hours, the Residency Program is where you’ll get hands-on experience with the full coffee process. Besides the hours we work together, this is where the exchange of knowledge truly happens. As a resident, you’ll be paired with another participant to source, roast, and develop your own coffee. Here’s how it works:

  • Sourcing: In teams, you’ll select a green coffee to work with.

  • Sample roasting & cupping: You’ll experiment with different profiles to find the best approach.

  • Buying & roasting: Once you've locked in the right coffee, you’ll oversee the full roasting process.

  • Refining & feedback: Continuous cuppings and discussions will help you improve the final product.

  • Selling your coffee: At the end of the process, your coffee will be available for sale, how cool is that?!

This program is designed for experienced roasters who want to take ownership of the full process or baristas/coffee lovers eager to learn more under the guidance of our head roaster.

Sharing & Learning

As a resident, you’ll also share your own specialties and knowledge through a workshop/training, as we all bring different experiences from around the world. This is your chance to showcase your expertise—whether it’s a unique brewing method, sensory skills, or another area of coffee (or service) you’re passionate about. Additionally, we’ll invite guest speakers, coffee professionals, and host events to keep the exchange of ideas flowing.

And it all comes together with baristas from around the world, sharing their skills and working side by side.
